A Senior Java Developer is required to join a global information analytics company working on cutting edge technologies to build products and systems within a big data environment.

Role: Senior Java Developer
As Senior Java Developer you will be responsible for:

+ Involved in helping develop new technologies that are being used to enrich content, improving discoverability, extracting new datasets and improving content utility
+ You will be working with a combination of high quality software engineers plus experts in data science and machine learning, to deliver high quality workflows and capabilities for content enrichment
+ Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components
+ Interfacing with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements
+ Complete complex bug fixes
+ Design and work with complex data models


As Senior Java Developer you will have experience of:

+ Degree qualified or equivalent in Computer Science or other relevant technical discipline
+ Experience of working within an Agile Development team and a strong understanding of agile practices – ideally SCRUM
+ Expertise in Java
+ Strong research skills
+ Knowledge in using and developing applicable tool sets
+ Experience of Test-Driven Development, Unit Testing, Continuous Integration and Delivery
+ Experience with GitHub: : Branching and merging, Jenkins, Selenium is helpful
+ Pair Programming (Social skills)
+ Experience in Amazon Web Services, Machine Learning, Data Science or Natural Language Processing would be advantageous
