Established for over 35 years, our client is now one of the North West’s leading & multi award winning Engineering companies, they are  looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic  Production Engineer to join their team based in Rotherham.  You will receive a competitive salary of £35,000 per annum.

Your duties as a Production Engineer will include:-

- Ensure processes are developed to produce product that meet internal and external customer requirements.

- Ensure all processes meet volume, quality, cost and delivery targets.

- Ensure the design of production processes and facility layouts to optimise ‘Value Added’ activities and eliminate ‘Non Value Added’ processes and operations.

- Ensure jigs, fixtures, tooling and programming are available to support all production requirements.

- Provide accurate reporting, detailing progress to plan, open issues, upcoming actions and risk management.

- Provide technical support to all manufacturing areas to eliminate waste, reduce NVA, deliver productivity and prevent accidents.

- Identification, specification and presentation of business cases for new equipment and processes.

- Implementation, education and support of the standard work, and lean processes.

- Support the implementation of training procedures and training programs to ensure effective use of all new processes and equipment.

- Working within a team to achieve departmental and business objectives

- To adhere to all health and safety

- Any other ad hoc duties

Knowledge, Skills, Experience needed to become their Production Engineer:

- Continuous Improvement Mindset

- Experience in heavy engineering and fabrication

- Competence in lean manufacturing processes, systems and associated tools

- Able to read, understand and interpret engineering information

- Effective communicator at all levels both verbal and written

- IT literate – Effective use of Microsoft Office software; Excel, Word, PowerPoint

- Effective in jig design and auto cad software

- Production planning on MRP system

- Working within a team to achieve departmental and business objectives

Production Engineer Working Hours: Mon to Fri 8.00am – 5.00pm
