I am looking to place an Air Quality Consultant between Principal and Technical director level within an international environmental and engineering consultancy’s Bristol office. The firm has over 20 offices across the UK, with a further 50 across the USA, Canada, Africa, Europe and Asia. You will act as the office’s Technical Lead within Air Quality, leading a team of other specialist consultants and acting as a point of contact for clients.

The firm has projects within the built environment / urban regeneration, heavy industry, infrastructure, power and more. You will work alongside current environmental and engineering partners to deliver a broad range of projects within Air Quality, sometimes feeding into wider EIA projects or managing/delivering your own standalone projects for a range of developments. You will have the opportunity to add your own focus and direction for the office team, given your role as Technical Lead.

The firm are looking for someone with experience of dispersion modelling software such as ADMS or AERMOD as well as road-pollution modelling software such as ADMS-Roads. Air Quality professionals should also be able to draw on the relevant sections of the DMRB and the LAQM. Additional knowledge of Health and Safety protocols such as the HHRAP or any capability with GasSim software is desirable, but not a prerequisite for this post. Any individuals who would like to improve their experience within industrial air pollution modelling or H+S protocols in this area will be given the opportunity to do so.

Ideally, you will have extensive experience in a consultancy environment, having worked with a range of private and public clients. You will have both relevant education, as well as membership of a relevant professional body such as the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) or the Institute of Environmental Sciences (IES). You will be a technical expert who can deliver advice to more junior members as well as being an excellent advisor for your clients.

In return for the right modelling, project management and team leadership skills, the firm can offer a very competitive salary, the opportunity to support a business across a range of functions in order to further develop your skills, a tailored benefits package and commitment from a firm who are dedicated to providing routes for growth and development.
