Mechanical Technician / Lubrication Engineer Birmingham to £23k+ (neg dep exp)

Our client specialises in the provision of condition monitoring and reliability services within a diverse range of manufacturing environments, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly self-motivated Mechanical Technician / Lubrication Engineer to complement the activities of an established and successful team based on a customer site in Birmingham.

With many clients appreciating the importance of lubrication management in identifying improvements to machine reliability, the successful Mechanical Technician / Lubrication Engineer candidate will demonstrate previous experience in mechanical maintenance techniques and will work closely with customers to manage greases and oils from procurement, storage, treatment and usage through to their disposal.

Through regular oil analysis and the use of a dedicated integrated strategy for lubrication management, clients benefit from reduced downtime, reduced maintenance spend, improved reliability and a reduction in stock levels as well as a range of other benefits, and the successful Mechanical Technician / Lubrication Engineer candidate will be tasked with undertaking the analysis of equipment performance, failure data, and corrective maintenance history to develop and deploy engineering solutions as required.

As a Mechanical Technician / Lubrication Engineer, you will develop strong relationships with appropriate suppliers and customer technical resources to document best practice in the creation of robust PM, PdM and OPM tasks, whilst engaging customer technical resources, supply chain personnel, and key suppliers to develop and document robust critical spare parts lists, while striving to achieve best life cycle cost of ownership.

To be considered for this varied and extremely challenging and rewarding Mechanical Technician / Lubrication Engineer role, it is envisaged that you will be HNC qualified or above in a relevant engineering discipline and will demonstrate knowledge of reliability principles and experience of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies as well as excellent communication skills at all levels, with familiarity with CMMS, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook proving distinctly advantageous.
