Our client has been established for almost 40 years and specialise in the provision of bespoke surface engineering and heat treatment solutions to a broad range of customers and market sectors around the world. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth and continuous improvement, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated Maintenance Engineer / Manager to complement their established and professional team.

Based in Tamworth and working within an AS9100 and ISO9001 accredited environment, the successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of PPM and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance across a variety of vacuum and Plasma heat treatment furnaces, jigging and general maintenance activities - as well as for overseeing the program / schedule that ensures machine robustness along with the coordination of production schedule needs, and will be tasked with ensuring that all PPM work is undertaken on both equipment and tools to avoid any interruption of production and to minimize unnecessary downtime.

Other duties will include accurately creating and maintaining detailed maintenance related records and liaising with external contractors on equipment repair/service due dates whilst sourcing the most effective repairs and upgrade cost.

To be considered for this varied and challenging Maintenance Engineer role, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will have a multi skilled maintenance engineer background and an appreciation of associated PLC’s (with previous experience of working with thermal processing equipment such as vacuum heat treatment furnaces) proving distinctly advantageous.
