Our client is one of the UK’s market leaders in the area of automated warehousing and materials handling solutions, and as a result of recent positive internal restructuring, they are now looking to recruit two interim maintenance engineers for an initial 9 month contract to work on a fixed term contract / interim maintenance engineers shift basis to complement their existing team to cover a “peak” period.

The interim maintenance engineers work on a week around permanent “days” basis (earlies and lates) basis, although on every 5th weekend a Sunday is required to be worked (with a day off taken in week instead), and at times of particularly extreme staff shortages, very occasional shifts may need to be covered. As the company prides itself on the high quality service it provides to customers across the country, it is essential that they now recruit two interim maintenance engineers to ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standards and the systems meet the required demands.

* Conducting reactive and PPM maintenance on automated high bay warehousing cranes and conveyor systems
* Monitoring the operation and ensuring stoppages are dealt with promptly.
* Assisting the site manager with any safety issues which may arise.
* Using the computerised system to monitor site activity.
* Advising customers of any stock related issues.
* Promoting any enhancements or additions required via correct channels.
* Provide cover alongside other team members for holidays and sickness.

These are exceptional interim maintenance engineers opportunities for two enthusiastic and self-motivated shift maintenance professionals to assist a team responsible for the ongoing efficiency of a number of fully automated cranes and conveyor systems that handle more than 30,000 pallets per month - with other opportunities to follow within the business.

To be considered for these varied and challenging positions, you will demonstrate a relevant recognized qualification, a strong electrical background, experience of working at heights and also of working both autonomously and as part of a team.
