The Company:

The Company is a leading international Food & Beverage engineering consultancy company with its head office in Copenhagen, Denmark. They have more than 2,200 employees and offices in 23 countries. Their UK offices are in Ascot, Manchester, Dorking, Cambridge and Glasgow.

The Role:

They are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for this new role, to support the development of growth within their extensive client base of Food production companies within the UK. Their target market are those companies that work within the FMCG field and who require tailor made solutions in areas like logistics, process, packaging optimisation and production operations. The Company provides them with consultancy services, project management, and turnkey solutions.

The position reports to the Head of UK Operations and is ideally based in their Ascot Office with travel required in the UK & overseas.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* By developing sales strategies, source and develop new clients for the business who require Consultancy or Project management support within the Food Production Industry
* Maintain current client base to increase repeat business and act as the Account Manager for key clients, establishing service delivery levels
* Lead on the bidding process with the Head of UK Operations
* Liaise with the Project Managers, providing guidance on specific projects from the initial opportunity, bidding requirements and delivery
* Understand the contract & commercial requirements of their projects and frameworks and ensure the identification of scope/project change requirements
* Support the Project Manager to ensure each project is executed in accordance with Company policies and procedures including relevant legislation
* Attend networking events to meet Executives from the Food & Beverage Production Industry
* Liaise with project personnel to provide technical advice and to support resolution of any issues

The Candidate:

You would need:

* Experience with business/market development preferable from consultancy engineering or alternatively from an Original Equipment Manufacturer or a food production industry
* Promotes a culture of continuous innovation and improvement

* Strong network on executive level to in the food industry
* Proven track record in selling consultancy & engineering services
* Good understanding of the food industry supply chain process, chemical/process engineering and perhaps OPEX optimization
* Experience with project portfolio and risk management
* Strong client facing and interaction skills at senior level
* Good understanding of key principles of contract management
* Written communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to facilitate and present to groups of people
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrates commitment to company and client standards
