South Midlands and South West Region

(ideally based in Bristol, Gloucester, Chippenham, Bath or Cirencester areas)

to £35k basic + generous commission + uncapped OTE + car / mobile / laptop

Our client has been established for more than 40 years and is recognised as the UK’s largest and most successful manufacturer of bespoke waste & recycling containers, for a diverse range of industry applications. These include general & municipal waste handling, scrap metal, glass, paper & wood recycling plus many other bespoke applications. With over 80 employees and a multi million-pound turnover operation, as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic, proactive and highly self-motivated Sales Manager to complement their established and successful team.

Reporting to the Senior Management team, after an initial intensive product training programme the successful Sales Manager candidate will be responsible for covering the South Midlands, South West regions of England and South Wales, undertaking both existing account management and proactive new business development activities on both self generated leads as well as quantified leads provided by Head Office.

In an environment where the average sales order value is between £10k to £30k, and the average sales lifecycle is a 3 – 6 month period, you will be a tenacious and highly self-motivated Sales Manager individual demonstrating at least 3 years previous business development and new business sales experience within a capital value product led market.

Whilst previous experience in waste management is advantageous though not essential, you will possess a proven track record of success in developing a territory and the ability to communicate and influence effectively with people at all levels within a customer service focussed environment. Based from home, you will be flexible to travel extensively throughout your territory and will be required to travel to the Midlands for meetings, on an as required basis (generally infrequent).
