About the role 

Bespak’s in-house Innovation team consists of around 40 colleagues working in partnership with our customers to bring new ideas to the market and create a new generation of drug delivery devices. At the Innovation Centre we get to see our designs go from early concept stage right through to manufacture for patient use. 

This is a new role within our Innovation Management team and will give you the opportunity to manage a portfolio of innovation opportunities that supports our strategic objectives. 

As somebody who already works closely with Research and Discovery functions in pharmaceutical companies you will maintain a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry whilst identifying trends and technical challenges that demand the identification and creation of novel, disruptive solutions. 

As a key member of the Innovation Management team you will be jointly responsible for agreeing the direction of the group, implementing Bespak’s Innovation strategy and managing resourcing of Innovation projects.

About you 

You are a credible, experienced leader in Innovation and work closely with Research and Discovery functions within pharmaceutical companies so you know (or know how to find out about) emerging approaches to treatment of diseases and what their drug delivery needs may be. 

You will have proven programme management experience gained in a pharmaceutical and/or medical devices environment and are able to manage multifunctional teams at a senior level to ensure that project outcomes and budgets are achieved.
