We’re now looking for a Refurbishment Technician to join our Head Office in Standish and support the delivery of projects for one of our key clients, BOC.

This exciting role will see you utilise your refurbishment and mechanical skills to breathe new life into liquid and gas tanks and create a value-focused service for BOC.

As a Refurbishment Technician, you will be tasked with carrying out refurbishments of single and double skinned cryogenic vessels, ambient and mechanical vaporisers, liquid cylinders and associated equipment.
Refurbishing these types of gas equipment, you will work as part of a team of eight that reports to a Forman and a Branch Manager and undertakes steel fabrication, pipefitting, component striping and refurbishment, pressure testing and paperwork.
Specifically, your role will involve:
- Working in strict compliance with BOC safety and quality and specifications
- Ensuring delivery dates are adhered to
- Selecting components required for refurbishments from the stores
- Supporting the management of sub-contracted labour
- Helping to develop new products and initiatives that will provide added value to the BOC contract
To be considered as a Refurbishment Technician, you will need:
- Knowledge or refurbishments and/or mechanical engines
- General fabrication and/or welding skills
- Copper and/or stainless pipefitting and associated soldering and/or brazing experience
Experience of handling liquid gases and cryogenic temperatures would be beneficial but is by no means essential.
