Our client is recognised globally as a market leader in the delivery of innovative project solutions for a diverse range of architectural, entertainment and events applications, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a similarly dynamic and experienced Technical Project Manager to complement their established and highly successful team. Based near York and working closely with the Head of Technical and Technical Team, the Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the on-time and within-budget delivery of multiple projects to clients around the world.

With an essential solid understanding of both construction methods and site implementation, you will be an excellent communicator and influencer at all levels and will demonstrate a meticulous and diligent approach with a positive “can-do” attitude. You will possess the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload effectively and work on multiple projects at any one time whilst being skilled in creating unique solutions from concept design through to production and site installation within often pressurised time constraints.

Other responsibilities for this varied and challenging role will include (but not be limited to):

* Producing initial design concepts and project managing a range of projects from initial inception to final project delivery
* Communicating with the project client to achieve the required solutions within the available budget constraints and acting as a senior representative of the Company at client meetings and on site
* Providing mechanical design solutions on projects and producing design briefs to allow CAD Designers to undertake tasks before checking and approving their drawings
* Managing project workload and advising the CAD Manager on resources required, and liaising with production as required at various stages of project build
* Providing technical support to the Production Team
* Assisting with risk management within Engineering and Technical projects both in the workshop and on site

To be considered for this genuinely exciting and unique Technical Project Manager opportunity, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will essentially be fully proficient in the use of the MS suite of packages with Autodesk Inventor and Vault knowledge proving distinctly advantageous.

Whilst experience gained allied to theatre, stage engineering or live events would also prove advantageous, you will essentially possess a good understanding of manufacturing processes and exceptional levels of attention to detail coupled with a driven approach and the ability to meet deadlines, multi task and prioritise effectively. A valid UK driving licence is also a prerequisite for the position. Contact the Projects Team at Premier Technical Recruitment on 01827 68400 or email your cv in confidence to for further details.
