About the role
Do you like to build, fix, investigate, experiment? Do you have a natural curiosity on how things work? Do you enjoy problem solving?
As a Product Engineer at Bespak you will be looking after the continuity and changes involved in managing product parts, including plastic injection moulding product lines. You will be responsible for the lifecycle and technical product support of our medical devices.
We are always looking to improve our products for the benefit and wellbeing of patients and when these improvements are identified you will support the engineering and manufacturing change control processes to ensure the quality, cost and integrity of the product. You will do this, in part, by regularly interacting with your peer groups (commercial, development, quality, operations), suppliers and customers to manage and effectively communicate product changes from design concept to shop floor manufacturing.
You will become an authority on the product application and will get the opportunity to work with other technical teams e.g. in Tooling and Moulding, in order to agree the design, qualification and maintenance of our plastic injection moulding tools.
We are looking for someone who is used to working in a manufacturing environment. We make complex components on high speed assembly machines and we require a product support engineer to help maintain the product quality and output.
You would need to use a combination of technical skills, including material science (e.g. plastics, elastomer, metal), product manufacturing processes (e.g. injection moulding, metal forming) and technical problem solving skills (e.g. root cause analysis).
Please note that internally this job is titled “Product Engineer”.
