We’re now looking for a Trainer to join our team in Sheffield and deliver blasting, surface preparation and paint spraying training to clients across the Midlands and Yorkshire for a temporary contract.

Your Role 

As a Trainer, you will deliver blaster/sprayer training courses to learners based across the UK, primarily within the Midlands and Yorkshire. 

This is a part-time contracting position where you will be provided with regular monthly work (however, not guaranteed work every week) and will provide high quality training to learners at customers’ sites and our Sheffield training facility. 

Specifically, you will: 

- Provide training for various surface preparation and paint spraying techniques 
- Develop programmes of learning activities 
- Support the development of learning materials 
- Check and assess students’ work and provide constructive feedback 
- Conduct competency tests 
- Maintain accurate records of students’ training 
- Provide feedback on training activities 
- Work with other training professionals and colleagues to progress techniques and training approaches 
- Attend training courses to advance your own qualifications 

About You 

To be considered as a Trainer, you will need: 

- Experienced or qualified in training for blasting, surface preparation and paint spraying with a Paint Inspector Level 1 qualification, ideally from ICorr, NACE, BGAS, Frosio or SSPC, or an ICATS, OPITO, or Train the Painter Applicator qualification 
- Experience of working in a team in a collegial way 
- Creative skills to plan and deliver lessons 
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Outlook and PowerPoint 
- IT skills to allow training and the development of materials 
- A full driving licence, business insurance and access to your own vehicle 
- Access to a laptop with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
