Excellent opportunity for a Quality Inspector, ideally with previous CNC routing, milling, vacuum forming, tooling manufacture & assembly experience; to support the company’s quality functions.

The Quality Inspector Opportunity:
Reporting to the General Manager & as part of a small dedicated inspection team, the Quality Inspector will be responsible for day to day inspection duties on our busy shop floor including; First off dimensional checks, stage inspections, final Inspection checks and completion of FAIRs. This role is key to ensuring that all our products are thoroughly inspected and conform to engineering drawings, and have been manufactured in accordance with approved design data and within regulatory requirements.
The role-holder will be required to:
+ Carry out day to day inspection duties on our busy production shop-floor under AS9100 Rev D @ EASA Part 21-G quality systems.
+ Carry out inspection of various plastic / engineering components or assemblies.
+ Carry out first off, in process and final inspection dimensional checks.
+ Completion of customer FAIRs.
+ Inspection of incoming components and materials as part of our Good’s Inwards process.
+ Identify and raise internal non-conformances and work with the department managers to identify root causes and remedies.
+ Perform internal & external audits to ensure conformance with regulatory requirements.
+ Assist QA / General Manager to understand and interpret regulations to ensure company policies and procedures comply.
+ Assist QA / General Manager to deliver suitable quality training to meet regulatory standards
+ Assist QA / General Manager to ensure all necessary measuring equipment remains in calibration
+ Ideally have previous experience and hold certification for inspection duties under an AS9100 Rev D and / or EASA Part 21-G or similar quality system.
+ Be able to interpret engineering drawings and work with CAD engineers to interpret customer model data.
+ Be able to carry out dimensional checks using various types of “manual” measuring equipment.
+ Previous experience of CMM measuring equipment. (Training can be given)
+ Confident at decision making and have the ability to use a common sense approach in regards to quality requirements.
+ Pro-active, self-motivated with good timekeeping and able to work as part of a team within a small inspection department.
+ Willingness to progress and evolve as the needs of the business dictates.
+ Computer literate, in particular Microsoft Office package.
+ Flexible, positive and responsive approach to daily duties
+ Attention to detail with a keen eye for regulatory stipulation.
+ Ability to plan and organise own workload to achieve deadlines & targets
+ Able to work under pressure
+ Previous experience of Vacuum forming, CNC routing and machining, tooling manufacture & assembly works preferable
+ Be able to produce FAIR’s and certification packs to support customer requirements / deliveries
+ 40 hour week + overtime (A/R)
