Our client has been established for more than a quarter of a century and specialise in the planned preventative and reactive maintenance and repair of a complete range of special purpose waste processing machinery, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced Production Engineering and Service Workshop Supervisor to complement their established and professional team.

The successful Workshop Supervisor candidate will be basd in Tamworth and responsible for managing the workshop engineer’s workload, ensuring the timely refurbishment of machines in the unit whilst being responsible for inspecting them prior to delivery and ensuring that site installations run smoothly. A hands on approach with a background in mechanical / electrical / hydraulic engineering is essential, with welding experience proving distinctly advantageous.

You must have the ability to motivate and lead the production team, and with assistance be able to organise the workshop workload to meet deadlines. As head of the workshop you must have proven management experience and leadership skills. You will attend weekly production meetings with assisting admin staff and the General Manager where you will be expected to fully brief everyone on the production of the workshop.

Organisation and motivation are key to this role. For the right candidate this will lead to a more senior managerial position.

With a large expanding client base, of which many are high profile, it is imperative that the detail and accuracy to work is of the highest standard.

To be considered for this varied and challenging Workshop Supervisor role, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate previous hands on experience gained within an electrical, mechanical or hydraulic maintenance engineering environment and possess strong organisational abilities to manage multiple projects and activities at any one time supported by the administration team when required.

Organisation skills are absolutely key to this role as there will be many different things going on at the same time and our office and environment is extremely fast paced. Basic admin support is provided by our administration team.
