Job Title: IT Systems Administrator

Location: Hitchin, Hertfordshire

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

Job type: Permanent, Full time

As IT Systems Administrator you have to be motivated to ensure that the Company’s computer and communication systems are designed, configured and maintained with customer service in mind. The software and hardware investments that they make will be based on the extensive knowledge of advancements and trends that you bring to the table.

As the only IT staff member you will need to be flexible, hands-on and committed, providing both 1st and 2nd line support to all users.

The Role:

Key Responsibilities:

* To ensure maximum availability of computer systems and IT Service equipment throughout the company.
* Day to day support, advice, guidance and assistance for users both office based and remote.
* Actively involved in the provision and maintenance of IT infrastructure services including applications, networks, IT security and telecommunications.
* Contributing to IT strategy; working with the management team to propose, agree and deliver IT services to defined Service Level Agreements.
* Involved in the implementation of processes including the disaster recovery plan and IT security policy.
* Devise and deliver skill and training programs to improve IT knowledge throughout the business
* Ad Hoc IT Project work, independent and collaborative.
* Server administration & 24/7 monitoring.
* Office 365 Administration and Development.
* Management of mobile phone contract and provide support to mobile device users.
* Managing IT risk including security and resilience
* Working to retire ineffective hardware and software and streamline business processes
* Supporting the operational advancement of the business through technology adoption
* Providing input to business strategy and growth planning

The Candidate:

Experience Knowledge & Qualifications:

* 2-3 years’ experience
* MCSE qualified/part-qualified or prepared to undertake this.
* MS Exchange Server
* MS Windows Server
* MS Domain Services
* Office 365
* SQL Server or other database knowledge
* Salesforce

* OneNet Communication System

Person Specification:

* Good problem solver
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Good interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated

* Trustworthy
