As Waste Operations Programme Manager, you will have overall responsibility for leading and co-ordinating the waste operations programmes at a strategic and tactical level, ensuring all waste operations (including radioactive waste) are safe and comply with legislative and regulatory requirements. You will use innovative methods to deliver the programme of work across the Magnox organisation, using a lead and learn approach, in partnership with the relevant site management teams.
To succeed in this highly challenging role you will have in-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of waste processing, packaging, transportation and disposal. You will have a track record of extensive programme and project management experience gained within a highly regulated environment, with safety as your highest priority. A decisive and confident approach, and an ability to lead highly technical teams and influence stakeholders are essential, along with a strong commercial awareness.
