Leakage Technician Trainee

As a leakage technician trainee, you will be responsible for deploying and collecting acoustic loggers, data analysis, carrying out reactive and proactive leak detection and monitoring the leakage system and logger deployment/collection. Working as part of a busy team, you will be trained to use a variety of techniques and equipment to find leaks in our network. Once fully trained you will liaise with other network staff about maintaining and improving the network system and zone, as well as reviewing flow alarms and calibrating and maintaining leakage equipment.
We're looking for a driven, hardworking and self-motivated individual who has the ability to learn new skills. As a leakage technician working in a busy environment, you will be able to work well alone or as part of a team. You will also have excellent time management and problem-solving skills. This is a customer-facing role, so you will need to demonstrate good customer service skills and good IT skills, as you will be dealing with internal systems on a daily basis. A flexible approach to working hours is a must as this role may involve planning and carrying out night work occasionally. A full driving license is essential as you will be driving as part of your role.
