We are currently looking for a Senior or Principal Engineer (Chartered) to work within a Rail Civil and Structures team based in St Albans. This is an exciting position in which you will joining a technically renowned Engineering consultancy working on challenging programme of works within the Rail Civil, Structures and Bridge discipline. 

Within the position you will take a technical hands-on approach in which you will could act as Civil Engineering Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) on projects.  This will be a technical focused role, in which you will very much be involved within the Design process using FEM software.  Within the position you will provide guidance to the Design Engineer and Graduate Engineer in which you may act as a Lead Engineer on various projects designing and managing/delivering Rail Structures projects. 

Chartership or Incorporation status from an applicable institution is a must. 

Job Requirements

  • Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer with ideally experience in Rail Civil or structural design
  • Strong technical design background within a consultancy environment
  • Experience with Eurocodes
