Due to ongoing growth, they are now looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their team in Chesterfield.

The Role 

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will perform planned and corrective maintenance activities on plant and equipment. 

Carrying out all tasks in-line with Health and Safety requirements, you will: 

- Provide a front line maintenance service 
- Work on systems including pneumatics and hydraulics, as well as electro/mechanical installations and PLCs
- Support continuous improvement activities to enhance the manufacturing process 
- Take part in call-outs when requested

Please note, this role will involve some manual handling. 

About You 

To be considered as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you’ll need: 

- Experience of finding faults and repairing machinery 
- Previous experience of bench and assembly fitting 
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics 
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings 
- To have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship 
- A City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, ONC or equivalent qualification 

Basic fabrication, electrical and PLC knowledge would be beneficial, as would previous manufacturing experience. A forklift truck licence would also be an advantage. 

Our client would like to hear from you if you’ve worked as a Maintenance Technician, Maintenance & Repairs Engineer, Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance & Repair Technician, Service Engineer or Mechanical Engineer. 

This is a full time role, working 38 hours per week on a three week rota. Shifts are as follows: 

- Sunday – Thursday, 22:00 – 6:06 
- Monday – Friday, 6:00 – 14:06 
- Monday – Friday, 14:00 – 22:06
