We are currently seeking a proactive, organised and competent Customer Support Engineer to join our fast paced Sales environment, working from our Basingstoke Head Quarters.  The vacancy will be a full-time position, reporting to the Technical Sales Director and will be to generate Spares, Repairs and Service orders to agreed targets.

As Customer Support Engineer the individual can expect to gain an excellent introduction and overview into working in bespoke capital equipment within a design and manufacturing environment serving industries such as food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, industrial and chemical.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, good attention to detail and enjoy working in an Engineer to Order environment. Working closely with our Technical Sales team, on the job learning will be provided in mixing technology and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To generate sales of spares, repairs and service orders to agreed targets
  • Create quotations and orders for spares, repairs and service enquiries
  • Interrogate historical data and drawings as applicable to satisfy customer needs
  • Source parts and spares as applicable and liaise with Operations to acquire accordingly
  • Timely project management of spares and repairs orders to meet customer requirements and delivery
  • Ensure shipping and collection is delivered in accordance with clients’ needs
  • Coordinate MORe (Mixer Optimisation Review) visits to customers after sales of new machinery
  • Coordinate service visits to customer sites with the Operations department and client
  • Develop planned customer site visits with on-site Service Engineers and ensure production of Service visit reports
  • Reporting of monthly key performance indicators
  • Coordinate warranty assessment and claims in a timely manner working with Engineering and Operations as applicable
  • Maintain Customer Relationship management databases as necessary
  • Participate in design reviews, design for manufacture, and design for maintenance / service
  • Investigate and report on customer trends and establish planned maintenance business activities for clients
  • Support to Sales as and where applicable

  • Previous experience in a customer service environment and/or technical engineering environment is essential
  • Previous experience within a fast paced environment is essential
  • Previous electrical experience is desirable
  • Previous experience in Customer Relationship Management software including Goldmine, ICAPS and Quotewerks is desirable
