Role: Senior Structural Engineer
Location: Bristol
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (Negotiable)

I am looking to place a (Senior) Structural Engineer in an international engineering consultancy’s Bristol office to work on a range of commercial, industrial, residential and leisure structures. The firm has a long history of engineering excellence across international markets, with a variety of Structural, Civil, Architectural and Environmental projects.

The Firm
The firm operates across the built environment, with previous projects including multi-storey, mixed-use high-rise developments, industrial facilities, automated manufacturing plants, hospitals,  public-sector builds, and more. The firm has been in operation well over 50 years and has handled projects across the UK, Europe, Australia and Asia with values well into the hundreds of millions of pounds. This is an opportunity for someone looking to take a step into firm that can offer larger projects, whilst also offering genuine personal/professional development.

About You
You will have relevant education in Structural Engineering and be working towards / recently attained Chartership with either the ICE or IStructE. You will be able to utilise industry-relevant software such as Tekla TEDDS, Etabs, Robot or similar. You will be a confident engineer, already able to work with minimal supervision whilst having a desire to challenge yourself and take on more complex projects.

The Work
The firm operates across the built environment and you will work on new-build / refurbishment projects from all sectors including mixed-use high-rise developments, commercial buildings, public sector, manufacturing facilities, automated industrial plants, data centres, and more.

Job Requirements:
  • Relevant Structural Design experience (mixed-use, residential, commercial, industrial, etc)
  • Relevant education in Structural Engineering
  • Recently / Working towards Chartered Engineer Status with ICE / IStructE
  • Variety of software skills e.g. Robot, Masterseries, ETABS, Tedds, CSC Fastrak
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to manage small team of more junior staff / technicians
