£35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience + Benefits
As a result of our success in attracting new business to support our ambitious growth plans, we are looking to appoint Analogue Electronic Repair Technicians.
As an integral part of the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul teams, the Technicians are responsible and accountable for the fault diagnosis and return to service of various analogue electronic products, ensuring that the finished product conforms to exacting quality and aerospace standards. We are looking to invite skilled applicants with recent, relevant experience working in a manufacturing/engineering environment (aerospace desirable).
Analogue Electronic Repair Technician Key Responsibilities Include:
+ Provide inspection and diagnostic fault finding of various analogue electronic products and final unit instruments.
+ Assemble, test and inspect various mechanical, analogue and electronic products and final build instruments, using complex diagnostic test and methodologies and high level technical build.
+ Undertake receipt inspection.
+ Undertake analytical fault-finding to determine the root cause and corrective action of failed products.
+ Identify and undertake required repair to return product to required standard.
+ Effective use and maintenance of systems and records to ensure service standards are achieved at all times (ie use of ERP/MRP, Database and IT systems)
+ Effectively interpret and utilize circuit diagrams, assembly and engineering drawings and specifications.
+ Efficient and correct use of test equipment and diagnostic tools.
+ Ensure all assembly, test and repair functions are completed to the necessary quality standards – they meet contractual customer expectations and conformance to enable progression to final inspection and release.
+ Participate and communicate with senior stakeholders (i.e. senior management, MRO Customer Services and other business function areas and customers) on matters requiring technical / product related guidance or decision making.
+ Working with key stakeholders at all levels, use and develop technical / business skills and knowledge to support new business and adoptions integrations.
All successful Analogue Electronic Repair technicians will be able to demonstrate:
+ Working at analogue electronic component level, using detailed engineering drawings and other technical records
+ Understanding and application of the principles and theory of analogue electronic circuitry and electrical components within the engineering function
+ Possess a recognised vocational qualification in electronics engineering – equivalent to HNC level or time served
+ Numerate and literate – attainment of academic or vocational passes in English and Maths at NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) or able to demonstrate necessary standard through job assessment
+ Able to demonstrate good hand eye co-ordination and dexterity to carry out disassembly and reassembly of units (able to pass job related assessment)
+ PC literate – competent in the use of MS Office applications, ERP and other business IT systems. Experience of logging identified problems, root cause analysis and corrective action
+ Working on multiple products and able to prioritise workload to meet customer requirements
As part of the selection process you may be invited to attend an assessment centre involving both practical exercises and verbal interview.
