This is a varied and busy role that will require you to support investment and project managers, as well as taking a lead role in managing and implementing capital projects within the division. The successful candidate will be responsible for the definition of capital investment projects and the letting of contracts and project management throughout their lifecycles. Day-to-day activities include ensuring operations requirements are met through engineering and construction's delivery programme. You will do this by providing operational liaison, developing communication channels with all stakeholders, and producing and presenting reports. You will also need to have an active on-site presence to ensure the smooth running of all projects.
The ideal candidate will be from a supply/wastewater orientated engineering discipline with significant experience in the design, construction, management and commissioning of mechanical and electrical, civil, automation and telemetry-based projects.
To succeed in this role, you will have experience in a technical engineering environment. This includes experience in delivering smaller projects and designing/installing around technical standards to statutory requirements. Possessing an EMI qualification and/or an engineering qualification HNC or above, being computer literate and having knowledge of CDM regulations are also requirements of this role. Most of all, you will be an effective team worker who has proven communication and commercial skills with a commitment and drive to work under pressure and effectively resolve issues.
