Our client is the charity that saves lives at sea. Headquartered in Poole, their skilled team has created the most advanced fleet of lifeboats in the world.

The ALC (All-weather Lifeboat Centre) is our client’s very own boat building facility which brings every stage of lifeboat construction, refit and maintenance in-house and under one roof.

Refit work is increasing through 2019, with the introduction of the ‘Severn Life Extension Programme’, which is a significant package of work on top of the ALC’s ongoing program.

Our client has a full order book and has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team / Cell Leader to join their refit operations.

The ALC offers a clean, organised and safe work environment, with all tools and equipment provided. Our client strives to encourage a satisfied and friendly work environment, with their staff benefiting from an excellent pension, options for flexible working (including a time off in lieu scheme), good annual leave and the knowledge that the work they are doing directly contributes to saving lives at sea.

It is essential that you have specialist knowledge in ANY of the following disciplines, as well as experience of being a team leader or managing people.

- Boatbuilding (using advanced composites), and fitout

Our client’s lifeboat crews need a dedicated, professional and talented team behind them - come and join them in the build of this centre of excellence and help save lives at sea.

Our client is committed to safeguarding; ensuring the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk. They expect all employees and volunteers to share this commitment.

The suitability of all prospective employees and volunteers will be assessed during the recruitment process in line with this commitment. This will include relevant criminal record checks being carried out dependent on the eligibility of the role. (England & Wales; DBS check, Scotland; Disclosure Scotland PVG, Northern Ireland; Access NI, Republic of Ireland; Garda Vetting).

Our client’s staff and volunteers have been saving lives at sea without prejudice for nearly 200 years.
