Our client is the global market leader in their innovative niche automated manufacturing sector and deliver solutions to customers in more than 50 countries around the world. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth for 2019, they are now seeking to recruit an articulate, customer focussed and technically capable Engineering Support professional to complement their established and successful team.

Based near Manchester and with an exhaustive and structured product portfolio training programme provided, the successful engineering support professional candidate will be tasked with delivering seamless and effective communication between both internal and external customers to ensure consistency, structured support and customer satisfaction at every step of the way.

Acting as the primary customer contact for all technical or service related issues, as an Engineering Support professional and Technical Support Engineer you will respond to customer enquiries regarding products from the company’s expansive portfolio and will analyse problems with hardware equipment or software through to corrective action or escalation as appropriate, whilst maintaining records of reported problems in order that these can be relayed to the product development team for resolution in future product solutions.

You will also undertake remote test procedures as appropriate whilst maintaining a positive customer experience throughout, and you will be skilled in identifying the importance of customer issues and prioritising accordingly.

To be considered for this varied and challenging Engineering and Technical Support role, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be qualified to at least degree level or above in a relevant engineering or technical discipline with the ability to read and understand engineering and technical drawings and supporting documentation.

You will essentially demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills at all levels and be committed to delivering the highest levels of support and satisfaction at all times. You will be comfortable in working both autonomously and as part of a team with effective organisational and prioritising skills with experience of using a CRM system proving distinctly advantageous.
