We have a superb new opportunity for a very capable DevOps Engineer / Software Build and Tools Engineer. This role is for a rapidly growing Cambridge based SoC Electronics company developing revolutionary technologies for the displays and Virtual Reality market space. The DevOps Engineer role is an important hire for the business and will see the successful applicant have an influential and exciting position, focusing on creating and maintaining the systems that support the engineering staff and allowing them to perform at their very best. This includes automating builds, provisioning of environments and automating their infrastructure with code.

The ideal candidate will likely be known as a DevOps Engineer, Build & Tools Engineer or a Software Development Engineer with proven experience developing software build tools and a solid understanding of System Admin.

DevOps Engineer / Software Build and Tools Engineer Requirements:

* Experience of Automating, debugging and optimising build jobs and automated tests using Jenkins, Python, Groovy, Shell
* Configuring static and runtime analysis tools
* Familiarity with a range of software development environments and tool chains such as Visual Studio, Scons, CMake, Android Studio, GNU
* Working knowledge of source control systems
* System admin and automated installation of build servers
* Administration of public or private cloud infrastructure such as AWS/Azure/Google Compute
* Knowledge of virtualisation, containerisation and orchestration technologies (VSphere, Docker, Kubernetes)
* Knowledge of remote configuration management tools (e.g. Puppet, Ansible)
* Monitoring, Logging, graphing and alerting with tools such as Graphana/Graphite
* Preferably, degree or equivalent level qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Studies, Electronics, etc
