One of the UK`s most exciting technology development companies is looking for a highly experienced Principal Systems Support Engineer to join their multi-disciplinary team of technical support specialists. This is a key role for the company as they roll out their highly advanced robotic systems to customers world-wide. As the Principal Systems Support Specialist, you will be a senior member of their Operations and Technical Support team where you will be able to combine your leadership, technical and problem-solving skills.
In addition to providing expert, hands-on, 3rd level support to customers, your responsibilities will include helping to develop internal processes and customer support standards. You will demonstrate the ability to analyse and troubleshoot complex multi-disciplinary system issues while developing exceptional levels of service and support processes. As a natural leader, you will also act as mentor for members of your team, encouraging their personal development and the delivery of exceptional levels of service.

Principal Systems Support Engineer responsibilities include:
* Leading a team of technical support engineers to identify root cause issues, process and system deficiencies, providing solutions related to troubleshooting, repairs and product R&D
* Internal and external stakeholder liaison and collaboration to ensure efficient and effective problem resolution and further product development
* Ensuring the quality procedures are followed within the team and other functions of the business
Requirements of the Principal Systems Support Specialist:
* Degree level qualifications (BEng/MEng/MSc in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotic Systems or similar technology
* Broad engineering knowledge and experience within electronic, mechanical and software disciplines
* Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers and colleagues.
* Experience of 3rd level troubleshooting and providing solutions for complex electro-mechanical systems
* A can-do/will-do attitude and genuine desire to develop, drive and continuously improve an expert level technical support service and process for high-tech electro-mechanical systems.
Following being highly advantageous:
* Experience of working within a regulated and/or safety-critical systems environment.
* Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally.
