A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Electronics & Software Engineer has arisen at an exciting new technology development consultancy. This is very much a hands-on R&D role which will see you participate in the development of cutting-edge medical devices and other highly regulated, high-tech applications. This is a job where you will be developing products which will positively impact the lives of patients on a global scale!



As a Senior Electronics Engineer and Software Engineer / Team Leader you will use your passion for innovation to develop concepts, technologies and products for global leaders in the Medical Devices marketplace. You will work on exciting development projects alongside senior technical and commercial business leaders to address client needs, creating bespoke devices in often challenging (and ultimately highly rewarding) development programmes. Prior experience of Medical Device Development, although preferred, is not essential - more important is the ability, aptitude and passion to deliver scientific innovation and cutting-edge solutions.



Responsibilities:

* Design and development of electromechanical systems
* Development of control systems, actuation mechanisms, valves, sensors, electronic design
* Working to client requirement and specification and effectively reporting back on work completed
* Design for manufacture and assembly
* Actively taking on lead role on projects and teams - acting as mentor for less experienced colleagues



To be considered for the role of Electronics & Software Design Engineer you need the following:

* A minimum 2.1 MSc/MEng or above (PhD) in Electronics Engineering / Computer Science
* A strong background in electronic systems engineering or equivalent experience
* Ability to investigate problems and developing practical solutions to meet client needs
* Experience of working in a project-based environment
* Excellent communications skills within internal teams and external client network
* An enthusiasm for innovation
