We are a family owned group of businesses, consisting of industrial spray and air nozzles, safety showers for hazardous environments, supply of spraying equipment for commercial use and outsourced warehousing and logistics. Each business unit focusses on a niche industrial product range but there is a large overlap in the customer bases meaning there is a great potential for cross selling between the business units.

The Business Development Manager Role
We are looking for an experience Business Development Manager to take on responsibility for the products under our Spraying Equipment brand. These products consist of manually operated and motor driving sprayers, granule applicators, powder applicators, leaf blowers and associated accessory products. The target market is professional growers, farmers, grounds keepers, estate managers, horticulturists and forestry workers.
We need a hungry and driven individual to expand develop both the direct and reseller channels for this product range. We have in place and exclusive master distribution agreement for the UK, France, Spain and Ireland with Guarany who are the largest manufacturer of such equipment in south America. Our business plan promises substantial growth over the coming 5 years and we need a high calibre individual to execute this plan.
Full product training will be given including onsite training at Guarany’s factory in Brazil. The candidate will be expected to liaise with the principle supplier and keep themselves update on all new product developments as well as networking with their other distributors, marketing and sales staff in order to find out about lucrative niche markets and opportunities.
The role will also involve close coordination with our marketing department to help develop our social selling strategy as well as suitable marketing content, literature and promotional material. Input will be required on which trade shows and event to attend as well as on which niche markets to target.
The role will be office based but there will be a substantial time spent on the road visiting potential customer, resellers and sub distributors.
Initially the focus will be on developing the UK market buy in due course we will wish to develop the French and Spanish markets. When this territory expansion is undertaken it is anticipated that another member of staff will be taken on with the relevant language skills, so there will be an opportunity to run a small sales team in due course.
What we're looking for:
+ Experience selling to the agriculture or horticultural markets OR experience working in those sectors.
+ Excellent sales skill
+ A good understanding of social selling
+ An understanding of on-line marketing
+ Experience in selling through third parties
+ French or Spanish language skills (Desirable)
+ Basic salary of £30,000
+ OTE of £45,000 Year 1
