The Company is a well-established manufacturer and renowned experts in precision machining, bonding and finishing engineering grade plastics, especially Acrylic. They supply global, blue-chip customers in industries including life sciences, medical devices and industrial applications with solutions including fluidic manifolds and optical components. They are implementing a significant growth programme supported by a pipeline of business expansion with new and existing clients.

The Role:

They are looking for an experienced CNC Milling Engineer to lead the setting up of new jobs including designing work holding, fixtures, machining strategy and perhaps programming. The exact extent of the role is open and dependant on the mix of skills and experience of the candidate. You will have a very good understanding of how to approach the CNC machining on a variety of machine tools. There is real opportunity for someone with good skills to develop quickly in the organisation in a number of different directions.

About you:

This role could suite a variety of career stages, such as an experienced CNC setter/operator looking to take no a more strategic, cross functional role; or a more recently qualified, talented CNC miller looking to take the next step to a CAM/project based role. It could also suit a CAM programmer with CNC milling experience looking for a mix of hands on and programming work. There is also the potential to liaise with customers to help critique designs for manufacturability of parts and provide support and suggestions as required.

They currently work with both Fanuc and Siemens CNC controllers, and Autodesk HSM CAM software.
