The Role 
 
As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for providing front line support to our client’s packaging, manufacturing and utility equipment. This will include robotic equipment. 
 
Ensuring that the production facility and general site is running efficiently on a day-to-day basis, you will lead or assist with continuous improvement projects to enable further advancements to processes. 
 
Additionally, your role will involve: 
 
- Taking responsibility for the continued function of TREND, AGILITY and GMP to ensure BRC compliance 
- Following all health and safety procedures whilst undertaking repairs or maintenance work 
- Reporting and repairing technical and equipment faults 
- Providing technical assistance for the commissioning and validation of equipment 
- Training other team members as required 
- Drafting documentation surrounding equipment performance and testing 
 
About You 
 
To be considered as our client’s next Maintenance Engineer, you will need: 
 
- Good mechanical, electrical and/or controls experience 
- Good experience of maintaining and fixing cooking and depositing, wrapping, bagging, automation and robotics, and blister machines 
- To be calm but capable when tasked with challenging situations while under the pressure of a production environment 
- A steadfast approach with the right application and a professional positive attitude 
- A reliable, can-do attitude and a strong will to succeed 
- A team player mentality with the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels within the business 
 
Boiler and steam experience would be advantageous. 
 
Other organisations may call this role Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer, Senior Preventative Maintenance Technician, Maintenance & Repair Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, or M&E Engineer. 
 
Hours of work: 5 x 8 hour shifts, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break, over a seven day working week between 4am and midnight.
