WHAT TO EXPECT

This role is for a Software Architect within the Software Group in Assisted and Automated Driving. It is critical for delivering AAD software technologies across multiple, present, and future software projects.

As the Software Architect you will be delivering agile software architecture specifications that balance intentional architecture with emergent design.
 

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Design of the Software and Functions related to ADAS Design and Architecture 
• Software Design - the specification and design of systems and their components to meet defined needs, retaining compatibility with software architectures.
• The design, creation, testing and documenting of new and amended programs from supplied specifications in accordance with agreed standards.
• Delivery of software and sub-systems within ADAS across the range of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles
• Assist and contribute to the generation of targets and verification methods that are driven by Customer, Function Requirements and Failure Modes Effects Analysis
• Provide technical support and assistance across the operational team on topics relating to the integration of harmonisation of multiple interconnected functions including issue resolution and objective data analysis
   

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

As the On-Board Software Architect for Assisted & Automated Driving Software, you’ll hold a formal qualification within engineering or a scientific discipline such as a degree or equivalent. A strong appreciation for the Automotive and Software industry and its importance within systems.

ESSENTIAL

• Significant relevant experience of working with commodity/product delivery and related technologies
• Significant experience with Software Architecture tools
• Significant knowledge of systems architecture and associated technologies
• Significant experience of Software Development Life Cycle and associated processes
• Experience with multiple Software language skills such as C/ C++/ Java / Python

DESIRABLE

• Experience in Automotive Engineering Delivery and in solving complex technical issues using a structured approach
• Previous experience within ADAS Software/ System
