Job Title: Apprentice and Skills Development Coach-Mechanical Fitter

Location: Barrow -In-Furness. On-Site - Please note this is a (Non-Workshop) role. You will be assessing competence of apprentices, office based.

Salary: £41,997 - £44,796 depending on experience and skills

  • Deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment practices that engage and inspire learners to fulfil their individual potential and develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours to successfully progress within the business
  • Take professional pride in their role and embrace continuous professional development opportunities in support of delivering innovative and impactful teaching, learning and assessment
  • Assess and monitor learner progress & performance in line with standards and legislative requirements to ensure occupational competence
  • Coach employees and learners to reach their full potential by providing key support, mentoring, challenge, and motivation throughout all aspects of their learning journey
  • Develop learners that are innovative thinkers and creative problem solvers, through designing and delivering learning content as part of a blended learning pedagogy focused on delivering vocational excellence

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Effective coaching and mentoring skills
  • Proven and effective people skills specifically when dealing with welfare, support, and safeguarding issues
  • Mechanical Fitter qualified

Desirable:

  • A1/Assessor qualification
  • Submarines experience
  • Good IT Skills
