WHAT TO EXPECT


 The advertised role is to join the Jaguar Product Team and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to join a small, multi-skilled and agile team charged with creating and delivering the new Jaguar platform and the vehicle portfolio.

 

A key part of this process is the Vehicle Engineering team.  This team is focused on delivering great customer experiences. The successful candidate will lead the integration of complex systems, and will be responsible for ensuring requirements across all stakeholders are met, with the customer at the centre of everything they do.


 The role will work with the whole of the JLR business including internal and external stakeholders where appropriate and will have exposure to the key areas and stakeholders that influence vehicle development.  The successful candidate will be required to work with cross functional teams including: Programmes, Attributes, Marketing and Design to deliver their vehicle.  The role will require supporting cross-functional teams to resolve major complex issues that may arise during the Creation, Development and Validation phase of the Engineering.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Support the integration of vehicle attribute delivery in the form of engineering recomendations that deliver customer attribute requirements.
  • Lead the attribute definition of systems in the context of vehicle attribute delivery at a customer level
  • Ensure attributes are defined and balanced with respect Vehicle package layouts and engineering systems.
  • Support the definition and development of vehicle engineering that deliver vehicle level attribute requirements.
  • Support reviews between Design, studio engineering and CoC areas to develop solutions for all attribute issues that affect delivery across the vehicle.
  • Support all aspect of attribute  Integration for the whole vehicle.
     

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
 

  • Experience of full vehicle attribute definition and development 
  • Technical knowledge and experience of key vehicle systems and whole vehicle engineering
  • Proven ability to interpret and use technical data along with business skills with technical      decision-making
  • A working knowledge of Vehicle Packaging roles and responsibilities.
  • Experience of negotiating solutions in an area of technical conflict.
  • The ability to achieve results in an efficient manner, making effective use of all resources available within the company and outside.
