The Role
As a Base Maintenance Coordinator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be responsible for the coordination of all aspects of Base Maintenance activity at the Staverton facility- including the Part-145 oversight of aircraft installation activity.

Day to day, you'll take responsibility for:

  • Management of resource/rosters to ensure adequate appropriately authorised staff, spare parts, materials, and equipment are available to safely deliver the planned and emergent Base Maintenance, Component Workshop and Aircraft Installations activity.
  • Planning, oversight, and control of this activity via your team of Supervisors and Certifying Staff. Ensuring all activity is planned, provisioned, and executed in accordance with relevant procedures, regulation and process.
  • Planning and oversight of Line Maintenance for aircraft located at Staverton, including the liaison and de-confliction with Babcock training School/ HQ Operations departments in support of pilot training service delivery targets.
  • Local management of the Hangars and equipment in Staverton via control of the Hangar Support Supervisor to ensure that facilities are maintained and presented in a professional and compliant manner. Actively promoting the lean and safety cultures within your areas of responsibility.

This is full time position with core hours 7am-3.30pm Monday-Friday. You'll be based on site at Gloucestershire Airport (formerly Staverton Airport), which lies 3.5 nautical miles west of Cheltenham, near the city of Gloucester and close to the M5 motorway.

Essential experience of the Base Maintenance Coordinator:

  • Strong UK Aviation industry experience, in particular Rotary Wing operations and technical support. HEMS/Police environment advantageous.
  • A Base Maintenance and modification background, with strong technical knowledge of rotary aircraft airframe/engine systems.
  • A good working knowledge of EASA/CAA regulations and requirements associated with aircraft maintenance, including application of SMS and Human Factors considerations.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and supervisory experience.

Qualifications for the Base Maintenance Coordinator:

  • EASA/CAA Part-66 B1.3 AML, ideally with EC135 and/or BK117D2 type ratings.
  • Category C AML is a pre-requisite

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC Clearance security clearance for this role.
