The role
As a BMS Senior Quality Engineer you'll provide professional advice, guidance and support to a Global Business Management System team on all matters related to the delivery of the Global ISO certification project, ensuring outputs meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Day to day you'll be responsible for the delivery of Quality Management activities, providing confidence to stakeholders that the governance is being applied, carrying out assurance activities and supporting the Head of Quality and BMS and Team to deliver, by carrying out the following activities which support the delivery of the Global ISO certification. Most notably:

  • Identify risks and opportunities, working collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve issues and devise improvement plans.
  • Use a range of measurement tools and techniques, both qualitative and quantitative, in order to assess and report on the organisation, department or project achievement of its quality plans, goals and targets.
  • Ensure all employees are following QA procedures, especially in relation to ISO standards.
  • Support / manage colleagues to analyse and interrogate data, relating to their own quality performance, to enable them to establish methods of improving outcomes.
  • Collaborate with function to ensure function Business Arrangements compliment the Global QA Business Arrangements

This role is fully remote so candidates can be based anywhere in the UK.

Essential experience of the BMS Senior Quality Engineer:

  • Full project lifecycle experience from bid phase through to close out
  • Application of core quality management techniques
  • Awareness of various contracting methodologies (e.g. FIDIC/NEC3/JCT etc…)
  • Prior involvement in Quality Management with demonstrable ability in the discipline
  • Working experience of ISO9001

Qualifications for the BMS Senior Quality Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/quality/construction management or a related field
  • Chartered Member of a Professional Body

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
