About the Role:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work alongside the Engineering team and Operational teams covering all Pets Choice Blackburn sites on Lower Philips Road.

Key Responsibilities:

• General building and grounds maintenance across Pets Choice Blackburn sites from odd jobs to larger projects
• Working closely with the Engineering Department and liaising with other departments such as the Warehouse and Head Office
• Undertake Maintenance tasks as directed and prioritise urgent tasks
• Maintaining Building fabric
• Ensure standards and procedures are adhered to and work closely with Health & Safety
• Maintain workshop and tools to Good Manufacturing Practices requirements
• Assist engineering maintenance team members as required
• Assist in the improvement of Health & Safety standards across all sites
• Record all works on the CMMS system
• Work collaboratively and engage with other members of the wider Pets Choice team
• Support the delivery of continuous improvement action plans
• Support with developing the maintenance schedule alongside the Engineering Manager
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for all
• Heay lifting as required
• Indoor and outdoor work
• Occasional travel and use of company vehicles

About you:

• Demonstrate the ability to work with a varying selection of tools
• Ability to work independently and with a team when required
• Painting, joinery, plumbing and other building maintenance skills
• A good communicator at all levels
• Ability to balance multiple priorities
• A problem solver with an eye for detail and accuracy
• A dynamic self-starter with a positive, enthusiastic, can-do attitude
• Must be fluent in English, verbal and written
• Building qualification would be desirable
