Job Title: PLM Business Application Support Lead

Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on experience 

Location: Stevenage (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2 or 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen.

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG SC Clearance, which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to take a key delivery role within the Engineering Design Capabilities' support team. The team are responsible for providing comprehensive business operational support in a wide range of Design IT solutions and capabilities across the Engineering communities. The team acts as the focal point and represents the user community in the uptake and the future evolutions of the company's collaborative PLM and CAD toolsets.

MBDA continues to evolve it's international collaborative PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) toolset and it is seen as the hub for the delivery of company's Model-Based Engineering digital platform. New capabilities are being developed and implemented to support the development of next generation Weapon Systems. This role is to define, develop and deliver the PLM tool business support roadmap in line with MBDA's digital transformation journey.

In joining the team, you will provide specialist-level user support, in line with new capabilities and future evolutions of the PLM Toolset. You will be expected to represent the UK business in leading the technical evolutions of the software and lead a number of Projects. You have the opportunity to work with the international PLM team in generating the requirements and overseeing new capability deployment to support the Engineering Teams continuous improvement initiatives.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Being proficient in PLM software, preferably PTC Windchill products. Able to demonstrate experience in user issue resolution, training, coaching, problem investigation, administration requests.
  • Strategic planning and execution skills. Ability to forward think and prepare tool support roadmaps in line with evolving tools and capabilities.
  • Strong project leadership with the ownership and accountability of plans. Being able to report and interpret the delivery through detailed action planning.
  • Leading of software evolution test campaigns - representing the business application of the tool and associated processes. Coordinating test results across other international support teams.
  • Timely upskilling of the user community in light of the growing population, diversity of the PLM tool and new business challenges.
  • Good understanding of IT systems (networks, server, storage, applications, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement – being able to gain feedback across different user communities.
