The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to join the UK Support Function team. You will undertake specific responsibilities to support, prioritise and coordinate effective and efficient technical administrative support to Software Engineering UK.

You will need to exhibit a high level of organisation skills, great team ethic and the ability to collaborate with people at all levels both internally and externally, whilst embracing innovative ways of working.

The Role (this is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities)

  • Will be based in our Stevenage office with the flexibility to travel to other UK sites
  • Generate and maintain a close working relationship with internal and external partners
  • Document control: e.g. maintenance of registers, equipment lists, product delivery tracking, milestones, etc
  • Reporting: pulling test results into a structured document, collation and action of review comments
  • Coordinate and support the Workload Forecast process liaising with the UK Software Group Leaders
  • Support the Software Business Manager with supplier contracts and recruitment activities
  • Access control administration support, i.e. Shared drive, floor plate coordination including security
  • Procurement and Finance support: raising purchase orders, invoicing, supplier engagement
  • Collation, distribution and management of general review outputs / actions / observations
  • Supporting best practice: e.g. tracking KPI's, coordinating and policing internal processes and feedback across Software
  • Provide local expertise in key IT based applications and databases and provide technical support/training to the Software team
  • To support the continuous improvement to delivery, process and behaviours within Software
  • Support the development of business proposals as directed by the Software Business Manager
  • Work with senior management to identify technical administration activities that could be reassigned from the engineering population to the UK Support Function
  • Participation and progress on UK Support Function personal development initiatives – to be accountable for own self-learning and development
