The Cad/Technical Lead will be required to Set and maintain policies and procedures for all site users of Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault. Oversee all CAD Users ensuring compliance with company procedures. Administer the Engineering Change Request (ECR) process and assign Engineering Change Orders (ECO) to the relevant CAD Draughtspersons within RD&D for implementation.

The responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):

• Produce and maintain Policies and procedures for all site users of Autodesk Inventor / Vault.
• Administrator for setting and updating Vault user profiles and delivering training to ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Collaborate with the IT Dept to ensure future updates of Autodesk Inventor/Vault are distributed and installed for all site users.
• Manage the ECR/ECO process, assigning work packages to the RD&D Draughtspersons for implementation, then release ECOs to Manufacturing.
• Create and maintain Master Record Indexes and Product Database as determined by the ECR/ECO system utilising the company MRP system.
• Provide CAD modelling and drawing support to all CAD users, to assist in the creation of development and manufacturing drawings in accordance with our policies and procedures.
• Produce Autodesk Inventor models and drawings if required to support CAD Draughtspersons in busier times.

CAD/Technical Lead Specification:

• Right to live and work in the UK, with ability to obtain SC level clearance
• Must have continually resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years
• Full Driving Licence required
• HNC or equivalent in an engineering
• Proficient in MS Office
• Drawing Office management / supervision
• 5+ years 3D CAD skills - preferably Autodesk Inventor
• Knowledge of AutoCAD software
• Knowledge of Autodesk Vault File Management system
• Knowledge of BS8888 drawing standards

This role will be worked over a 4.5 day week; Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:45 and Friday 08:00 - 12:30. Flexibility in this role is critical to the success of supporting the team.
