WHAT TO EXPECT

Jaguar Land Rover are is engineering our highly integrated charging and battery management systems known as Battery Management Control Module (BMCM)  for our next generation of electrified vehicles. This is a rapidly growing area in which our in-house software is critical in enabling a world class charging experience for our customers. Our teams plan, design, integrate and validate the charging system software to ensure we deliver our charging systems on time and to quality.

In this role you will be working in an Agile environment to lead the software architecture design and delivery of our in-house charging software in the creation of our BMCM (Battery Management Control Module) to support JLRs exciting future product line up.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

As a Software Architect  at Jaguar Land Rover you should have demonstrable experience delivering embedded controls software in a model based environment either in an automotive or aerospace setting. You should have Excellent knowledge of UML and Model Based System Engineering methods and experience using MATLAB/Simulink. You should feel comfortable validating the control code through use of software validation tools and working in the HIL environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a software architect in the automotive or aerospace domain
  • Excellent knowledge of application software design in Autosar based architectures
  • Excellent knowledge of UML and Model Based System Engineering methods
  • MATLAB / Simulink Modelling experience
  • Capable of validating the control code through use of software validation tools and in the HIL environment

Desirable:

  • Experience in writing and maintaining requirements for real time control software systems (ideally Preferably in DOORS)
  • High voltage hardware knowledge / experience (IGBTs, SiC, MOSFETs etc.)
  • Familiarity with DSpace dSPACE SystemDesk and/or Mathworks System Composer
  • Fixed point and float point code generation (Embedded Coder / TargetLink / C etc.)
  • Experience with Infineon TriCore and DSP microcontrollers.
