Job Title: CNC Horizontal Borer

Job type: Full time, Permanent, Rotating shift (Days and Nights)

Oldham Engineering Limited is a well-established medium sized engineering business with a long history and exciting plans for business growth.

We are looking to strengthen our team and appoint a CNC Horizontal Borer at our manufacturing site in Oldham.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC milling / turning machines.
• Produce precision components according to engineering specifications.
• Inspect and measure finished parts.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.

About You:

• Experienced and skilled CNC Horizontal Borer with a time served apprenticeship.
• Good understanding of CNC programming and machining processes.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with metals, materials and machining techniques.
• Good problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
• Experience of contributing to process improvements preferred.
• Experience of working in a regulated environment is preferred.
• Experience working within the regulations controlling Health and Safety, COSHH, Manual Handling and environmental control.
