Shift Schedule: Dayshift, 39 hours, Monday-Thursday 7.30am-4.30pm, Friday 7.30am-12.30pm

Start Date: Immediate

We have recently invested in new machinery and are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join their Team of Precision Engineers in Gateshead.

Main Responsibilities

• Program, Set & Operate Harrison Alpha Lathes with Fanuc Controls.
• Produce machined components to engineering drawings.
• Maintain quality, tolerances, surface finish & cycle times.
• Select appropriate tools, inserts & cutting data.
• Use of various types of measuring equipment & gauges.
• Perform general maintenance operations & housekeeping duties.
• Document actions on job sheets.
• Report to Team Leader & Engineering Manager.

Requirements

• Proven CNC Turning/Manual Turning experience in an Engineering environment.
• Programming experience using Fanuc, Harrison Alpha Interface or similar.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good attitude, time management & organisational skills.
• Willing to train on various machines.
• Knowledge of machining various materials.
• Ability to work in team environment.
