Job Title: Commercial Vehicle Bodybuilder

Location: Market Weighton

Salary: £16.50 - £18.50 per hour

We are looking to expand the Britcom family further to the recent expansion of our Engineering Department and the construction of a new purpose built 6 bay workshop, incorporating a 10 ton overhead crane, ATF approved inspection pit & brake roller.

We require experienced Commercial Vehicle Body Builders to join our well-established Engineering team. Dependent on skill level, along with other benefits, you will have the opportunity to earn £16.50 - £18.50 per hour depending on experience, plus enhanced overtime.

Britcom are VBRA and ALLMI members. We are an authorised body builder and chassis converter for all of the major European truck manufacturers.

The Role:

• The role will require you to work on the production of our vehicle bodies based on a variety of manufacturers chassis.
• You will carry out bespoke modifications to vehicles and trailers.
• You will assemble truck bodies and trailers to road ready standards.
• You will fabricate parts and assemblies as required from drawings.

The Person:

• You should have experience working in a bodybuilding or trailer building environment, ideally with different models of vehicles and trailers.
• You should be able to work from drawings and written instructions and be mechanically minded.
• You should have the ability to MIG weld mild steel in various gauges and be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• A forklift licence, overhead crane and lifting/slinging licence would be advantageous but not essential as would experience working with truck/trailer electrics and/or pneumatics.
