King Lifting provides crane hire and machinery movement solutions from depots across the country. We also supply transport and telecoms logistics and have our own training centre. We are currently seeking a Depot Manager at our Bristol Avonmouth depot, from where we run a fleet of mobile cranes.

The Role/Candidate:

The Depot Manager has overall responsibility for managing the crane operations from the Bristol depot and the associated operatives and support team. The successful candidate will negotiate contracts with existing and new customers ensuring the optimum utilisation of the hire fleet operating to achieve maximum profitability.

Roles & Responsibilities

* You will be responsible for the welfare, safety and working hours of all related personnel.
* The working success of the Hire Desk and for environmental, health and safety legal & statutory requirements within the depot and meet the set KPI’s and SLA’s.
* Strong leadership skills.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience preferably gained within the crane or plant hire industry with an operational understanding of cranes and transport. A CPCS qualification would be an advantage.

We are looking for a strong leader of people with sound commercial awareness and judgement. Excellent communication and organisation skills are a must along with the ability to prioritise deadlines and work under pressure.
