An exciting opportunity has arisen to come and join MBDA in a newly formed role at our Stevenage site. You will be responsible for supporting and working alongside the Head of Design in our development area.

Job Title: Development Hardware Planning Manager

Salary: Circa £45-£50,000 depending on experience

Location: Stevenage – with travel to Bolton

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 4-5 days on site  

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

An opportunity has arisen to work within the Industrial Policy, Global Supply Chain & Procurement (ISP) area of the business. You will increase the already close working relationships with Manufacturing Operations whilst gaining closer working relationships with programmes, design and engineering. This newly crafted role will play a significant part in a new development programme and give the right person the ability to see this programme through to the full manufacturing phase. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to work cross functionally for a specific programme, which will play a key part in the future of MBDA.

What we are looking for from you:

• Experience of working with an MRP (or similar) planning background within a manufacturing and planning environment.
• To work on off line on spreadsheets to support of our current hardware requirements.
• Excel skills will therefore be very important
• The ability to form innovative solutions and challenge problems within the development areas of supply chain.
• The capability to understand errors in the data and know how to or who to go to rectify them.
• The ability to work on your own or cross functionally and bring together people from other departments to support the progress of this role.
• Goal oriented with strong cultural awareness, excellent team working capabilities and the ability to drive key decisions through the supply base, whilst considering the effect on manufacturing.
• Experience of working with suppliers it a must and key in supporting this role.
• Ideally with experience of both working with suppliers as well as within a manufacturing environment with an ability to negotiate to meet deadlines.
• Excellent collaborator management both internally and externally.
