Are you ready to champion the latest engineering working practices? Digital threads, digital twins, AI, product-line engineering?

Building on strong foundations we are taking the next steps to lead digital engineering practice for MBDA Group. Key to this is the Digital Engineering Lead. Together with positions in France, Italy and Germany, they will lead an integrated set of End-to-End Model-Based Engineering capabilities and collaborate across the group to influence, support, develop and champion new digital working practices that deliver tangible benefits to many users. It is an exciting place to be.  

Salary: circa £64,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Location: Bristol or Stevenage

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

• Facilitate development and delivery of a digital strategy for UK engineering functions in coordination with the requirements of MBDA Group
• Lead adoption of capabilities developed within MBDA Group's End-to-End Model-Based Engineering project
• Derive technical requirements for digitization of workflows based on the engineering value chain
• Lead improvement projects to develop & embed new digital capabilities
• Collaborate with team members across UK, France, Italy & Germany
• Engage and manage interactions with many stakeholders

What we're looking for from you:

• Qualification in a technical or related discipline
• Multi-year experience in complex engineering and/or digital transformation
• Motivation to make a difference
• Value focused

Expertise

• Knowledge of product development
• Understanding of systems engineering practice is desirable
• Knowledge of model-based working practices is desirable
• Technical, analytical and conceptual skills
• Communication and collaboration skills
• Able to plan and deliver work
• Decisive when required
• Ready to travel abroad and within country
