D&R MBS Simulation Engineer

THE OPPORTUNITY

Virtual Engineering leads vehicle or system programmes with concept simulation, modelling expertise and tools from research thru to the delivery phase to JOB1.  This role will develop modelling tools and environments to deliver the engineering for vehicles

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Run CAE analysis, summarise results and feedback conclusions to colleagues

Support the continual development of tools and techniques which enhance capability, improve quality and robustness of Virtual models

Support development of Automotive Components/Systems using engineering knowledge and experience combined with Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) techniques, to meet Durabilility and Robustness performance targets

Work with design teams to develop and optimise solutions considering multi-attributes within defined deadlines and time constraints

Support projects and teams including the feedback of results as required through design / project reviews

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Essential:

Relevant degree (in Mechanical Engineering or similar)

Competent in the use of MBS Software e.g. Simpack/Adams/…

Previous experience of full vehicle and system level development using CAE to meet defined performance targets

Previous experience of supporting engineering or analytical projects

Desirable:

• Programming Languages (Fortran, C++, Java, etc…)
• CATIA
