What to Expect

As the Driveability Calibration Engineer you will get the opportunity to work with the Driveability Calibration Lead Engineers and Subject Matter Experts to carry out calibration activities required to deliver the Driveability attribute to meet the Vehicle Engineering Statement of Intent.

 

You will get the opportunity to work across the full spectrum of Powertrain technologies allowing you to get great exposure across a key part of JLR.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Understand and co-ordinate activities between all stakeholders in order to deliver the driveability attribute
  • Understand and co-ordinate control of the engine, transmission, and electric machines to produce the required system level driveability
  • Develop effective working relationships with electrical, chassis and PED teams in order to deliver system level driveability targets
  • Carry out robustness testing in the UK, hot, cold and altitude to prove system robustness. Use the FMEA process to ensure DV covers all escape points.
  • Work with software teams to ensure the best and most efficient control system logic is applied to meet the driveability requirements.

 

What You’ll Need

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Technical knowledge of driveability calibration across a broad range of powertrain configurations and levels of electrification
  • Experience of successful delivery of the Driveability attribute into market across multiple projects
  • Knowledge of planning, co-ordination, delivery to support the Cycle Plan programmes using Product Creation Delivery System (PCDS) principles
  • Experience of delivering technical solutions within a team
  • Experience of delivering projects at a high pace using an Agile mindset
